External
The external appearance of your home is always important but needs continual maintenance. If you need your roof repaired, your facia replaced or would like decking, fencing or a purpose built shed added to your garden MH Carpentry will carry this out for you.
Pitched and flat roofing
MH Carpentry can carry out repairs to flat and pitched roofs whether it be to replace worn out bitumen mineral felt or stop a leak by replacing flashing. MH Carpentry can also construct new roofs on house extensions, garages or sheds. Both traditional and truss roofing can be catered for.
Fascia and soffits
Many houses have been constructed with wooden fascias and soffits, which over time unfortunately rot. We can replace these like for like or look through other option with you such as plastic fascias, which we can obtain from out local supplies. MH Carpentry can also fit Velux windows, conservation roof lights and construct dormer window.
Shed and summer house construction
MH Carpentry can make sheds to customer design and space requirement. Sheds constructed will be stronger, more reliable and secure than any you can purchase in the DIY store. We can also incorporate insulation and lining should you require it. We would normally use pressure treated feather edge boarding as it is strong and rot resistant, but should you require matchboard or shiplap we can accommodate almost any requirements including uPVC cladding in a variety of colours. The felt used on the sheds is of very good quality and can be up to 3 layers thick if you are looking for a superior and more permanent structure such as an outside office, summer house or garage.
Decking and fencing
Our close board fencing is completed to the up most quality and most importantly it is strong enough to withstand almost anything the British weather can throw at it. All materials are pressure treated for up most durability and resistance against rot. We can also fit panel fencing, hit and miss fencing, trellis and pergolas. Decking materials are also pressure treated and we can supply and fit any design requirements in soft and hard woods.
Pergolas
Need a shady area in your garden? We can construct a pergola purpose built to the size and shape you require to obtain that perfect area for long lazy summers evenings. Why not also think about a decked area with your pergola to complete that modern garden.
Car ports
If you do not have a garage a carport is one option to allow your car to be protected from the British elements. The main construction is normally in wood with plastic roofing sheets or a solid flat roof with bitumen felt.
